The bowls keep on coming. Many of these are cut from smaller blanks with the exception of the Iroko, probably my largest bowl yet. It has taken the top spot as my favourite wood to turn too as it shapes easily, is kind on the tools and smells great. It’s also the turning I’m most proud of to date, with a perfectly consistent central sweep and a perfect mounting dovetail underneath. They’re all finished in Chestnut cutting wax polish and friction polish finishes after being sanded to 240-grit.
