Wands 1

A big batch of wands from leftover Sapele

This was a batch of wands created to raise money for a local charity, around 60 in total. They were produced from offcuts of Sapele reclaimed from a recycled front door and frame. I try not to waste good wood where possible and this is the perfect project to use up wood like this. They were turned without any thought to keeping them identical so each has a ‘magic of its own’ if you will. They’re sanded to 320-grit and finished in a toy-safe wax finish. And before you ask – no, they don’t work. I’ve tried them all and still haven’t won the lottery.
