This is a 26 inch Tenor ukulele of hardwood ply construction with a Sapele neck and Rosewood fingerboard. It is topped by a Mediterranean Olive veneer. I wanted a veneer that would match well with the Sapele back and sides but with an interesting aesthetic. I opted not to install a sound hole rosette so as not to detract from the Olive grain pattern.
The rest of the Uke is fairly standard. It is a 432 mm scale with 18 frets and a rosewood tie-bar bridge. The body is braced with double braces top and bottom and blocks at the neck joint and at the rear of the body. The nut and saddle are ABS as it’s what I had to hand. And a few pics from the Construction.
