Black Arrowhead Strat Guitar

I’ve had an idea for some time to attempt an arrowhead design on a headstock. It’s a challenge because you don’t have a lot of material to play with, as removing too much can compromise the strength and stability of the headstock. This has finally come to fruition, thanks not to my own skill but to my father’s skill as a carpenter. Careful use of a jigsaw, a coping saw, several files and a pile of sandpaper saw this idea finally become reality.

I wanted to take this guitar further. With a polyethylene coated body in black, I decided on a black colour scheme. The body is ash and the neck is maple with an ebony fingerboard and black dot inlays. It’s fitted with a Strat tremolo bridge and three single coil pickups from Artec, with 250K tone and volume pots and a traditionally configured five-way selector.
